The Sunny torque and drag analysis software (SunnyT&D for short) conducts an overall analysis of stress on drill string with finite element method by building a model for drill string in 3D wellbore. In addition to the analysis of conventional directional wells and horizontal wells, it can analyze short-radius wells and casing /tubing running. SunnyT&D uses stiff-model for finite element solution, so its results are more reliable which has been demonstrated in drilling sites.
