The Sunny hydraulics analysis (SunnyHydraulics for short) is an integrated computational analysis software for drilling hydraulics, which uses a brand new friction pressure loss model to conduct hydraulic analysis for the full-size wellbore (including conventional wellbore, small hole with the size below 6″ and super large hole with the size over 20″).
Functions and features:
• With the industry recognized flow model ( Reed, T. D. and A. A. Pilehvari 1993 SPE25456), accurate judgment of flow regime (laminar\transitional\turbulent flow) can be provided, so as to accurately calculate the circulating PD;
•Suitable for full size annulus (including slim hole below 6');
•Considering the effect of drill pipe joints, drill string eccentric;
•With hole cleaning model, the accurate calculation of the CTR (critical transport flowrate) of horizontal well can be provided;
•Analysis of the swab/surge pressure and the change of ECD, so as to determine the safety of tripping operation;
•Support Newton, power-law, Bingham plastic, Herschel Bulkley fluid model.
